This visit will complement the lecture on ‘The paintings and wit of Winston Churchill and Noel Coward’ to be given in December 2019.
Chartwell is filled with treasures from every aspect of Churchill’s life, and there is much to see in the grounds, from lakes to gardens, a kitchen garden, and Churchills’ swimming pool.

A welcoming coffee will be followed by a talk on Churchill’s paintings in the Studio, and timed entry to the main house.
Booking will be from 2nd July to 23rd September. Travel will be by coach.

08:00 Coach leaves Romsey Bus Station
10:15 Arrive at Chartwell; welcome and introduction followed by group coffee in the Mulberry Room
11:30 Talk on Winston Churchill’s paintings in the Studio
12:15 Individual lunch A/R at café
13:30 Main house entry: timed tickets for self-guided tour
16:00 Coach departs for Romsey
18:15 Coach arrives Romsey Bus Station
