Heritage Volunteering

The Arts Society Heritage Volunteers are teams of committed non-specialist volunteers who work under the guidance of curators and other professionals to help conserve our heritage. They undertake projects for museums National Trust properties, historic houses, libraries and gardens.

Romsey Heritage Volunteers have in the past worked on various projects, and you can see the details here.

They contributed a total of 528 hours volunteering during 2016, the second highest total in the Hampshire & I of W area.

In 2020 Heritage volunteering has not been available due to the Covid 19 pandemic and lockdown but it is hoped that this will change as restrictions slowly ease. King John’s House are hoping to welcome back volunteers as soon as is possible.

If you would like to volunteer for a project, or perhaps suggest a new project, please contact our current Heritage Secretary by phone at 01794 501311 or by email to heritage@theartssocietyromsey.org
